Dr Hans-Josef Vogel
Dr. Hans-Josef Vogel studied law at the Universities Saarbücken and Bonn. His doctorate degree dealt with United Nations Sales Law. He was admitted to the bar in 1994. Prior to joining avocado rechtsanwälte in 2008, he was partner in a highly regarded regional law firm and was responsible for the Corporate and International Departments. He is a lecturer with the International University of Applied Sciences at Bad Honnef for National and Tourism Law; he is a visiting lecturer with Suffolk Hall Law School, Boston and served as chair of the Leisure Industries Committee of the IBA between 2006-2007. He is the German member of the Global Association of Hospitality Attorneys, and represents avocado rechtsanwälte in Interlegal and the International Business Law Consortium, where he served as the chair of the advisory council until 2008. He is a founding member and chairman of the Association for Alternative Dispute Resolution and co-founded the Rhine Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
Dr. Vogel counsels corporations and entrepreneurs in matters of corporate and commercial law, often in a transactional context. Many of his clients are international. His practice emphasizes travel and tourism law for tour operators, suppliers and intermediaries; among others, he counsels one of the leading travel intermediaries.
